Why not have a Kindle screen color?
I bounced in 2011, the Amazon Kindle has no color screen. However, paying hundreds of dollars for 3G internet access, plus roaming capabilities, GPS, etc. But it is in black and white? What happens? Owners who are willing to make more dollars by the Americans, they say: "You know what, it is now 2012 and we went to a color version of the Kindle." It's like say that unveiled its new iMac computers with color screens. Color has been around for decades, this should not be so difficult.
Compare the Kindle Nook color. The two electronic readers for the markets are very similar. Color has a corner of the screen color, but is thicker, heavier, double the price, the more difficult in the eyes, you can not read life of sunlight and the battery is about 5% lighter. It is a simple matter of compromise on basis of the limits of current technology. Amazon decided that the benefits of a color display, simply not worth the inconvenience. The food is a goal much more general device, you can easily cut and obtain a complete Android platform for a very good price. He can do things that the Kindle could do.
