How to find 3G and Wi-Fi? Coverage maps?

So you want to know something before you throw the money for certain things. Recommend an electronic reader Kindle (but not limited to). What site (s) I can look to find a coverage map for my area wireless Fi or 3G? (A Again, not limited to the Kindle here). When I was a customer service representative for AT & T, had a map where you can see AT & T, can cover for mobile phones. To help discern how useful it would cover the AT & T customers. It's the kind of things I'm looking for.

WiFi card is not available, but you can search the Web for ATT 3G service coverage.
